For any business to be successful in today’s world, smart concepts need to be utilized for selling its product. There are many competitors who are selling interesting products, and you want to make a mark among them. One way in which you will be able to get the attention is through association with a name strong enough to hold its own against everyone. For this to occur, your brand or your organization will have to be accepted as a leading name in your area of work. You will be able to accomplish this only with the aid of innovative solutions offered by an advertising agency.

The world of advertising is really important for most brands and businesses nowadays as there is an increased need to have a brand name that is well recognized by the audiences. While direct marketing strategies will help to sell a particular product to the customers, with the help of advertising tools your company will be able to create a name for itself. If people don’t know about your existence in the world, then selling your products will be a nightmare. With original ad concepts developed by a creative advertising agency, you will be able to stand apart from the competition easily and in a good way.

One of the most important things that will enable any ad agency to help you out with your promotional work is branding. If a particular product gets associated with a brand name, then that brand itself will be able to sell the product like hot cakes. Creating a strong brand name in the industry isn’t as easy as you think. The aid of a start up advertising agency can be really beneficial.

When a good ad firm comes up with an interesting guerilla marketing strategy, your business will get a face that people will easily recognize. Your company will be involved in various promotional campaigns to help sell your product or service like public relations, sales, etc. If your company gets itself a smart advertising strategy or a firm that is good at developing creative ads, then all your promotional strategies will get a lot of help. Additionally, the best advertising agency will be able to use the latest technology like social media and the internet to spread the message well. Once a good technology advertising agency gets its hand on your product, it will ensure that your sales targets are easily met and your brand gets the name it deserves.

Coming up with ways to make your business work is not as easy as it seems. You need to create a good brand name and have an interesting ad concept to get the attention of a target audience. People notice things that stand out; you need to opt for a creative and an original solution to get the attention. However, once you go ahead and get the help of an advertising agency that knows how to go about it, there will be nothing to stop you from climbing the stairs towards success in your business.

Some businesses are exploring the idea of this fast-growing medium of vehicle wrapping as an effective advertising tool. Small businesses, large corporations, media outlets and others that want to attract attention are turning to vehicle advertising as a means to that end.

But be warned: vehicle wrapping is not for the faint of heart. While some of the basic vehicle graphic application skills crossover to wrapping, the latter requires more sophisticated techniques.
So if you are considering venturing into the bustling world of vehicle wrapping, then read on to learn more about what it takes to get started or if you even should!

To wrap or not to wrap?

Vehicle wrapping is fast becoming one of the hottest forms of outdoor advertising with media houses actually buying the space on trailers from companies like Tesco’s. Your fleet of vehicles could be earning you more money than you think.
Most large companies that want to advertise on their vehicles don’t have to be sold on vehicle wraps. But the high cost compared to traditional vehicle graphics will cause some individual operators and small business owners to cringe.

There is no doubt that there is lot of value in wrapping vehicles as the traditional vehicle livery now looks out of date and its real only purpose is as a form of identification and not as a persuasive form of advertising.

Chances are if you’re not considering wrapping your fleet then there’s a good chance that your competitors are, making them one step ahead of you. A good way to assess the effectiveness of wrapping then count the number of wraps you see during a month-long period. If you find that you are turning your head every day, then it may be time to begin considering wrapping your fleet.

So where do you start?

Design: The first place to start is the design, which is also the hardest to get right. As if the design is incorrect then the whole wrap can be rendered useless. Most wrapping companies will not get involved with the design as it takes too much of there time up and they are unlikely to be familiar with your industry and the style you like to work in. Although the design is the clever bit, designers who have not done it before might stay clear of vehicle wrapping but when it comes down to it its not out of there capacity. As design agencies are becoming more familiar with vehicle wrapping it is becoming easier to come up with an effective design.

The Print: The best printing results come from high-end machines like HP Scitex and VuTek’s which are lower in resolution than machines like Mutoh and Mimaki but are a fraction of the price and faster. Resolution and Viewing distance is by far the most misunderstood concept involved in the printing and vehicle wrapping industries. What most people do not realise is that viewing distance goes hand in hand with the resolution and size of an image (for more information please see viewing distance report) It is not always necessary to have a bus wrapped with photographic quality print which is 720dpi if your viewing audience is going to see it from 5 meters away and at 65mph!

So what materials?

The self-adhesive vinyl used for wrapping plays a very important roll in the longagivity of your vehicle wrap. Inferior vinyl’s can fail making the wrap look untidy and unprofessional and when it comes to removal can leave a glue residue which takes hours if not days to fully remove making it a complete false economy.

Avery MPI1005 EZ.

The Avery MPI 1005 EZ is by far the best vinyl to use as it feature the Easy Apply technology that cuts down on wrinkling and damage, bubbles and waste during installation. It also offers 100 percent clean remove ability on the adhesive if it’s a sound OEM paint surface. This technology cuts down installation time, which means your vehicles can get back to work sooner! Avery also offer the Avery® Supreme Cover is Avery’s warranty system, which offers you all the reassurance you can wish for.

What is AVERY® Supreme Cover?

In the unlikely event that one of our films is not in a perfect shape, our system offers you a warranty on several ranges of self-adhesive materials, in combination with a variety of inks, original equipment manufacturers and converters. Avery® Supreme Cover covers not only the cost of the defective material, but also the cost of inks, re-conversion, removal and re-application. Underlining Avery’s belief in providing quality and durability.

3M Controltac Plus graphic film with Comply Performance Series 180C.

Comply is a mechanical feature that allows air to travel through the adhesive, so there are usually fewer air bubbles and the film can be applied with time-saving techniques such as large squeegees, The pressure-activated adhesive allows the film to be repositioned during installation until pressure is applied to the film surface.

Other competitors are up and coming with vinyl films designed for vehicle wrapping, too. Like the MACTac’s JT5529P is emerging as a popular choice. The product is coated on one side with a permanent, opaque, acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive.

When it comes to installation:

“The materials make all the difference in the world, some of it is very aggressive and it makes it harder to lay down and pull back up to reposition. People try to cut corners using different brands and there are many, but then installation becomes so difficult that you can mess it all up. If you use high end products, it can cut 30 percent of the installation time.”
Regardless of the brand name, experts stress the use of cast over calendared vinyl for vehicle wrapping. While calendared vinyl starts out as a solid and is melted and formed into a sheet, cast vinyl starts out as liquid. The end result is that calendared vinyl has a memory of being something else and cast vinyl does not.

In application, if you use calendared vinyl over a rivet, then it will tent because calendared vinyl tends to shrink a bit. Cast vinyl doesn’t shrink so it allows installers to go over rivets, corrugation and complex curves that run both horizontally and vertically with greater ease and longer-lasting performance.

So how much does it cost?

The average going rate for wrapping vehicles varies depending on the size and type of vehicle. But a good rule of thumb in today’s market is between £45 and £50 ($90) per square meter installed plus design fees. However for larger fleets this price will be a lot less.

The media is a powerful thing — the average person spends an enormous amount of their life consuming it in one form or another, and will spend a significant percentage of that time looking at, listening to or watching advertisements. If you want to use the power of the media, though, you need to know what you’re doing.

Advertising in Newspapers and Magazines.

There are two kinds of advertising you can get in newspapers and magazines: classified and display. Classifieds are the small ads towards the back of the publication, while display ads can be almost any size, from a small corner of a page to a massive double-page spread.

If there’s a publication you’re interested in advertising in, either go to its website (the rate card section) or call its advertising department to find out the rates it charges. Now pick your jaw up off the floor. Yes, advertising in the print media really is that expensive, and for most home businesses it probably just won’t be that economical.

There is, however, an exception: niche and trade magazines. If you’ve ever looked around in a newsagent, you will have seen just how many magazines there are out there, filling every conceivable gap in the market. You need to find the magazine that people who are interested in your services might read. For example, if you’re a wedding photographer, look for a magazine called ‘Your Wedding’, ‘Bride’, or something similar. Advertising in these magazines will be far cheaper than placing an ad in a general-audience publication, and far more likely to actually get some responses.

Advertising on the Radio.

Wherever you are, the chances are that there’s a local radio station. Once your home business grows to a decent size, you might consider buying some time on it.

Really, though, the only kind of home business that can benefit enough from radio ads to justify the cost is one that does anything to do with cars. Since radio is almost entirely limited to use as in-car entertainment now, you know that almost everyone your ad reaches will be a car-owner, and so might be interested in what you’re offering. If you offer something that people need cheaply or even for free, you can get a big response.

Unfortunately, that response could be a little too big — thanks to the time-sensitivity of radio, you’ll get mobbed the next day, and then everyone will forget you again. Radio advertising offers the listener no opportunity to keep your ad and refer to it later, or to find it again in the future. You will find that any ads involving a phone number are spectacularly useless.

Advertising on the Television.

Unless your business is getting pretty big, this would be quite a bad idea. You’d have trouble producing and airing an ad even on local cable channels for less than $10,000. Of course, if there’s a market for your product and you’ve got the budget for this, you could take a gamble and make a mint. The home businesses that tend to do best out of TV ads are ones that have a ‘unique and useful invention’ product with easy-to-demonstrate benefits — think infomercial. Research shows that you can sell almost anything given a 60-second ad, a free phone number and a price point of $19.95.

Advertising on Billboards.

Here’s one that gets overlooked pretty often, but can be very effective if you do it right. Billboard ads are relatively expensive, but they do generally stay up for a long time, and they can be very specifically targeted to an area — the one where they’re physically located. You’ll have the best results with this if you can put one near enough to your business that it could say ‘turn left at the next junction’, or something like that. Phone numbers are, again, pretty useless, although you could have some luck putting a website address up there.

Advertising at the Movies.

Finally, here’s one that often gets overlooked. If you turn up to the cinema early, you might have seen that before the big-budget ads, ads for local businesses are run. This can be a great place to advertise relatively inexpensively in quite a high-profile way, and it works especially well for takeaway food businesses.

Contributing to the environmental upbringing has turned into a necessity for everybody in recent times. The concern for our planet’s environment is at its highest at present. Various companies across the nation believe in sustainability and protecting natural resources. Therefore, supplying a wide range of recycling promotional items to various businesses is our responsible intention.

When it comes to promotional products, companies have to achieve more than imprinting their logo and spreading the slogan or message amongst customers. One of the main tasks is to enhance the company image and goodwill. For example, distributing eco-friendly products during trade shows or other corporate gatherings could project a positive image of environmental concern awareness. Such eco-friendly reusable items help in demonstrating ethical and forward thinking of the company which helps in creating a positive brand recall.

You can choose from a wide range of product types such as bags, drink ware, flashlights, magnets, office stationary, pens and other trade show giveaways. Several grocery retail stores have adapted the distribution of reusable tote bags amongst their customers and they are requested to use them again and again. These bags are coming back in fashion and have always been an excellent choice for business promotion as well. These tote bags are made from recyclable materials which do not harm the environment.

If you are looking for drink ware to be imprinted with the company logo and message, we recommend you to choose from our travel mugs and tumblers made from re-cycled plastic in the eco friendly category. Mugs have always been a smart option for companies as they are reused by customers, resulting in repetitive brand recall. For a higher impact on corporate visitors, promote your company by giving away eco friendly pens, pencils, notepads, etc to potential customers, colleagues and even competitors.

If your company is concerned about the environment customers are bound to perceive the brand positively. For example, at a recent trade show eco friendly imprinted flashlights from Promo Direct were given away to visitors. They were able to successfully convey the desired message along with insistence on putting the received flashlights to good use.

Recycled promotional items reduce waste and revolve around issues creating awareness about littering. You can educate everybody about the disadvantages of littering and subtly create a huge buzz!

Today, companies use reusable promotional gifts in a variety of ways, amongst more and more opportunities for introducing their brand to the public. So go ahead, be a responsible company while doing so. Care about tomorrow, care about the environment and essentially care about an idyllic message to be conveyed to customers.

Along with conventional advertising and below the line activities, organizations and corporate bodies have come to realize that they need to invest in trade shows in order to create maximum recall for their product or brand name. There are several benefits to participating in a trade show. Some of them are:

A trade show offers the manufacturer a direct platform to interact with the very people who will be making purchasing decisions. Most purchasing managers of corporations make it a point to attend trade shows relevant to their needs in order to evaluate a wide range of products and services, all under one roof. If offers them variety, at a fraction of the time regular meetings with sales personnel form all those companies ever could. If this is the reason why they visit trade shows, isn’t it obvious that your product or service needs to be showcased in the trade show as well?

Two, trade shows offer all manufacturers a level playing field. Of course it may not seem like this as some manufacturers have bigger spaces with far better stalls and displays, but at the heart of it all, a trade show is where conventional competitors come together to provide the end user with the best possible information to make a purchasing judgement.

Three, trade shows provide manufacturers, especially relatively unknown ones, with a readymade audience that is focused, targeted and in the best frame of mind to make a purchasing decision. As far as targeted advertising goes, a trade show is by far the most effective way to reach the target audience.

A trade show also allows for demonstrations. Conventional print advertising is not interactive and showing demonstrations on television could prove really expensive and not worth the investment. But in a trade show, a demonstrations is almost a pre-requisite. I still remember a heavy machinety trade show I had the opportunity to attend. On one hand, there was Ingersoll-Rand with their range of diggers, back hoes and dump trucks. On the other hand, there was caterpillar with their ‘Cat’ range of equipment. Elsewhere, Komatsu had lined up their state-of-the-art equipment. Being able to see all these equipment on display, performing actual tasks that they were created for gave not only me, but all other purchasing managers there an unforgettable demonstration. You can be sure that when the time to take a decision arrived, we had no problems in picking our personal preferences!

But not all trade shows are effective. It is a sad part of the competitive world we live I that several fly-by-night operators have entered the trade show industry. Out to make a quick buck, these unscrupulous operators try and organize events and trade shows that neither have a reputation, nor attract manufacturers with one. As a result, the gullible manufacturers who invest time, money and effort in these trade shows, lose a lot. The best way to stay clear of such operators is to stick with trade show organizers who have a proven track record, are reliable and provide you with measurable service.

Online and offline organizations like the National Trade Productions and the Trade Show Exhibitors Association of America (www.tsea.org) offers several tips and guidelines on how you can get the maximum value from your investment in trade shows. By linking organizations and individuals involved with trade shows and the trade events businesses, these associations enable a connected trade show exhibitor’s world where each and every member can learn from the collective experience of all the members. Where applicable or necessary, local chapters also exist and provide the same services to exhibits on a local scale. You can never go wrong if you follow the simple guidelines these associations offer.

I am reasonably certain that anyone reading this article is familiar with all the free online advertising methods such as the all-too familiar Sp-m emails, Classified Ads, FFA pages, Banners, Text Ads, Traffic Exchanges, Newsletters, Guaranteed Visitors, Paid to Read, Paid to Join, Link Swaps, Pop-ups, as well as many other types of ‘In-Your-Face’ advertising, some of which may have been dreamed up since this article was written.

What I would like you to consider is this: What do you think when you see this kind of stuff yourself? More to the point, what is your ‘Frame of Mind’ at that moment?

My guess is you think, “Here we go again…” and your shields go up. You pull up your waders and trudge on through, oblivious to the thousands of messages ricocheting off your armor as you collect a few more hits for your own website promotion or product offer.

With Millions of would be online Millionaires doing this hour after hour and day after day, is it any wonder that the Internet slows down to a crawl and even stops at times?

Now consider the “Frame of Mind” of a visitor that came looking for you to see what you are doing. Maybe even to ask a few questions and give you permission to email them. Does this sound like a more productive environment?

The online equivalent to this scene is being played out today and every day and you can participate for free. It is called ‘Social Networking’ and more information on this is easily found with your favorite search engine.

Imagine if you are no longer perceived as another ‘Salesman’ but as a “Fellow Business Person” with similar problems and often good ideas for their solutions. Much like Napoleon Hill wrote about in his world renown-book, “Think and Grow Rich”, you could be a team member of a virtual Mastermind Group. Chamber of Commerce Mixers have been an example of this approach for years and have been very successful for some who get it. Now you can accomplish nearly the same thing for your home business from your own computer.

Keep in mind, this should not be just another place to plaster your links. The strongest relationships are formed by giving first. Do a mental inventory and come up with something you know or have that would help others more than yourself. Find a way to offer it with no strings attached, no signup or email address required, just give it freely. I know it sounds crazy in this dog-eat-dog world, but trust me it works.

Alright, now it is all up to you. Continue contributing to the degradation of Internet bandwidth with the huge numbers of attempts required (many not even reaching their target) to get a single response, or try something that builds future relationships with new friends that are truly interested in what you are doing and not just trying to sell you something.
